My name has changed, or it is misspelled. How do I change it?
Please contact the Registrar's Office. You may need to provide a photo ID or additional legal name change documentation showing both the previous and current names.
* If your student record is correct, but your name is incorrect (either the username or the viewable name) on The Q OR
* If your student record is correct, first and last name, but your email needs to be updated, send a request to help@qcc.mass.edu. A ticket will be created to get it updated. Please be sure to include your phone number so you can be contacted when it is completed.
* If any other information on The Q is misspelled or needs to be changed, you can update it by doing the following:
1. Log in to The Q.
2. Click on the profile icon (the circle with a person or your photo inside it) in the top right corner of the page.
2. Click on “My profile & settings.”
3. Click on the “About me” button to make change and then the “Contact information” button to make change to your phone number and address.
4. When you are done, click the “Save” button. Information will be updated within five to seven business days.
The Registrar keeps track of student records, helps during the registration process, manages transcripts, and oversees the withdrawal and add/drop process.
