How do I add my phone to the QCC Alert Notification System?
The QCC Alert Notification System allows you to receive a text message on your cell phone in case of a school emergency or school closing. To add or update your text messaging information, log in to The Q. At the bottom of the Welcome page, click on the “My QCC Alert Contact Info” link. Add or update your contact information and then click on the “Submit Messaging Data” button.

How do I run a degree audit?
1. Log in to The Q. 2. Click on the “My Academics” tab. 3. Click on “My Registration.” 4. Click on the “My Degree Audit” link on the right. 5. Select "What-If Degree Audit" if you want to run an audit for a major other than your currently elected major. If your major is Undeclared, you also should select a "What-If Degree Audit," as you do not have any "Your Curriculum Requirements" degree audit until you have applied and received a letter of acceptance from the Admissions Office.

How can I access The Q
To login to TheQ open a browser page and login here: https://theq.qcc.edu/ics With Universal Login, students are prompted to enter only their username (Student ID number). You do NOT have the ability to change your password from this page. Enter the Student ID number in the username field and Click [Continue] or [Enter] then user is prompted for their Microsoft login (student email: student@student.qcc.edu). My name has changed, or it is misspelled. How do I change it?
Please contact the Registrar's Office. You may need to provide a photo ID or additional legal name change documentation showing both the previous and current names. * If your student record is correct, but your name is incorrect (either the username or the viewable name) on The Q OR * If your student record is correct, first and last name, but your email needs to be updated, send a request to help@qcc.mass.edu. A ticket will be created to get it updated. Please be sure to include your phone number so you can be contacted when it is completed. * If any other information on The Q is misspelled or needs to be changed, you can update it by doing the following: 1. Log in to The Q. 2. Click on the profile icon (the circle with a person or your photo inside it) in the top right corner of the page. 2. Click on “My profile & settings.” 3. Click on the “About me” button to make change and then the “Contact information” button to make change to your phone number and address. 4. When you are done, click the “Save” button. Information will be updated within five to seven business days. The Registrar keeps track of student records, helps during the registration process, manages transcripts, and oversees the withdrawal and add/drop process.

What is my username for The Q?
Your student ID number is your username for The Q. You will be prompted for your Microsoft account. Your Microsoft account is used for universal login to The Q. The initial password is emailed to your personal email on file with the college. It is valid for 84 days, after which it will require you to call in to get it reset. If you need help resetting your password, please contact the IT Service Desk at 508.854.4427. Give them your name, your phone number or email address, your ID number and a brief description of your problem. Mention that you have a problem logging in. Do not send your password.
